NEWS RELEASE: Nozzolio Announces Alternative Energy Park in Wayne County
MEDIA ADVISORY - Television, Radio and Print News Editors.
Ontario, NY - On September 15, State Senator Michael Nozzolio will join elected officials and business leaders from Wayne County to announce the creation of a state-of-the-art alternative energy technology park that will be the home to new businesses involved in the development and use of renewable sources of energy.
Senator Nozzolio and officials from the Wayne County IDA will discuss the development and expansion of the Wayne Industrial Sustainability Park (WISP) in the town of Ontario. The WISP is a state-of-the-art industrial park which uses renewable sources of energy to power the companies located there. The WISP is a model for New York State, as well as the Nation, on the use of renewable sources of energy.
The announcement will take place at noon on Monday, September 15th. Speakers will include Senator Nozzolio; James Hoffmann, Chairman of the Wayne Co. Board of Supervisors; Peg Churchill, Executive Director of the Wayne Co. IDA; Bob Bechtold, President of Harbec Plastics; and Kevin Schulte, President of Sustainable Energy Developments.

Our 12-member Board of Directors, containing local, volunteer business men and women, is not funded by any department of Wayne County. Through our membership dues, we are targeting business success in Wayne County for today and beyond. To accomplish this, we are in constant communication with the Wayne County Industrial Development Agency, the Wayne Economic Development Corporation, Wayne County Department Directors, Chamber Presidents, Town and Village Leaders, State & Federal Legislators, Prominent Industry Representatives and Small Business Professionals.
Through this network of interested parties, we can help you get plugged into what is happening in this county. We welcome participation and input from any industry sector, employment base, or business representative. From the CEO to the self-employed, from part-timers to retirees, we want you & your business to get involved, see the benefits, and help us make a difference in this county.
Active Committees of the Wayne County Business Council:
- Legislative – We can act as a liaison between your business and local lawmakers to find out about the issues we can collectively support in higher government.
